2025-2026 After School Enrichment

Art Build & Design and Art Adventure Club (Twos - Five/Six)

It’s never too early to expose children to financial literacy and how to spend and save.  Understanding economics is not only a foundational skill in mathematics and social studies, but it is a practical, lifelong investment.  In Imagination Station, children will be exposed to concepts like identifying money, distinguishing between needs and wants, the basics of saving and spending, and the roles and jobs in a community,  through role-playing games and picture books.  Intentional, dramatic play activities will include creating a vocation (for example, grocery/toy store, doctor or veterinarian, or restaurant) and shopping with a budget in mind, with jobs to earn money in which to save or spend.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.

Imagination Station is offered on Mondays or Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Social Stars Club (Twos — Five/Six)

The Mindful Moments (M&Ms) Club (Twos & Threes; PreK & Five-Six)

Mindful Moments (M&Ms) Club  - Social Stars 2.0 (the next step in developing social-emotional skills for our Preschool community)

Children aren't born knowing how to interact with others or handle large emotions. Like ABCs and 123s, we also need to explicitly teach social-emotional skills. During M&Ms, teachers take time to explicitly teach social-emotional skills, like self-awareness, social-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, and decision-making through eight planned units (I am Me, Listening and Speaking, Making Friends, Peer Problems, self Discipline, Appreciating Differences, Being a Good Friend, Calming Stress).  Intentional activities give children experiences to practice these skills. These self-regulation skills will help children throughout their entire lives.

M&Ms Club is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Children will be divided by age groups (Twos & Threes; PreK & Five-Six) and class days will be determined by enrollment.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.

Bookworms Club (Threes)

BookWorms Club is specifically designed for Threes to promote reading readiness. BookWorms Club will help mold and stretch children’s thinking, promote creativity, and develop early literacy understanding.  Through the exploration of storybooks and beloved children's literature authors, children will engage in activities to identify letters and sounds, experiment with early writing, foster an appreciation for storytelling, explore different genres, and gain an understanding of beginning comprehension.  Projects include creating homemade books, using pops to tell and listen to a story, and drawing and writing to tell a story.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.

BookWorms Club is offered on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.  Class days depend on enrollment.

For more information, please see the Bookworms Club page.

Kinder Readiness Club (PreK & Five/Six)

KinderReadiness Club (PreK, Five-Six) is an after school, skill-based class designed for children approaching kindergarten. KinderReadiness dives deep into reading readiness with comprehension skills like making predictions, retelling stories, identifying story elements, making connections to texts, and developing alternative endings to stories. Children will also be exposed to environmental print, different genres of text, tracking words on a page, and text features.  Letter and sound recognition learned in The Preschool's morning program will also be reinforced.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.

KinderReadiness is offered on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.  Class days will depend on enrollment.

Little Rockers and Tiny Tunes (Twos, Threes, PreK, Five-Six)

Little Rockers Club (Threes, PreK & Five-Six) is an after-school program designed to introduce students to the basics of music, piano and guitar.  Each session will work on rhythm practice and applying that to our TinkerTar guitars, foot pianos, and more.  TinkerTars are one-string guitars without frets that use numbers and colors to help children identify the correct notes.  Children will learn some of their favorite songs on a very fun and funky instrument. By the end of the semester, participants will be ready to play for their family and friends. With patience and participation, children will learn to be performing musicians on an instrument they will be excited about.

Little Rockers Club will be offered on Mondays and/or Wednesdays until from 12:30 - 2:15.

Tiny Tunes Club (Twos) is a great way for children to socialize and learn in one of their favorite environments - music class!  In Tiny Tunes Club, children will be encouraged to use a large assortment of instruments to help them develop their fine and gross motor skills. They will also work on following multi-step instructions, sing many songs, learn song motions, and participate in teamwork songs (i.e. songs that use a parachute or need multiple people to operate).  We will be helping your child expel their energy while singing and dancing. The Tiny Tunes Club can also help to bring your child out of their shell by providing an encouraging environment to be silly and enjoy themselves. It will be full of Joy!

Tiny Tunes Club will be offered on Fridays only from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.

For more information, see the Little Rockers and Tiny Tunes Clubs page.
